Laplacian Smoothing 拉普拉斯平滑

Question: if I do laplacian smoothing to a model many many many times, what happen???

上面的图是对horse模型的不断平滑结果,结果是收敛为一点(这个图没有贴上来,上面的图已经足够看到这个trend了)!!!

"Laplacian Smoothing that moves vertices along their approximation curvature normal directions. Note that an unconstrained normal flow of the vertices would progressively smooth out all the details of the model and converge into a single point."

Interpolaton Loop Subdivision Surface

mentor好像对此有兴趣,所以暑假实习期间我就实现了这个文章,效果如下,可惜当时没有跟用于插值的Butterfly subdivision做比较。

Metaballs

第一次听到这个概念是关于一个叫spore的游戏。
